Living Twig Project
Return to Latest News
Students at NBS Kenton have had the opportunity to take part in a living twig project. Students have seen Indian Stick Insects (Carausius morosus) hatch from tiny eggs. We currently have 5 stick insects and they are approximately 3 weeks old. They live in a super clear mesh habitat and are fed ivy on a regular basis. Our little pets will moult and grow until they mature at around 5 months old when they will begin laying eggs of their own, so we can raise a new generation of living twigs!
