Kirkley Hall Weekly Visit
Return to Latest News
Students enjoyed a trip to Kirkley Hall this week. Students had asked if we could see the frogs! We went in to the aquatics room where we saw a variety of different frogs as well as some of the fish and sea life that are kept there. We were then lucky enough to go in to the discovery room where zookeeper Lauren got out one of the white’s tree frog out of its enclosure and we got the opportunity to look closer at it and take pictures, unfortunately we couldn’t hold it because its skin was so delicate. While in the discovery room, Lauren got out the rankin’s dragon, Franklin, he was so relaxed he fell asleep while we were stroking him!
To finish our session we walked around the zoo and went to visit the ring tailed lemurs and went in to the crowned lemur enclosure for a closer look. The lemurs are very inquisitive and had stolen a blue roll when their enclosure was being cleaned and were enjoying playing with it!
