Pop Up Hospital

Recently The GNCH held one of their “Pop Up Hospital” events. Newcastle Bridges School took part in this on Friday July 7th, when the event was held on the NHS Melissa Bus, parked on Northumberland Street. We took examples of the resources we use when working with students when they are in-patients in the hospital. These included science experiments, equipment for creating volcanoes, art demonstrations, musical instruments, English mysteries and practical Maths activities. We were able to talk to parents/carers and children who visited the bus, about the role of Newcastle Bridges School in the GNCH, when patients undergo treatment and during their recovery.
