At Kirkley Hall this week students have had the opportunity to provide enrichment for the goats, we collected willow using a small saw and loppers. We then hand fed the goats through the enclosure fence and made them enrichment boxes. We made the boxes by piercing the boxes with willow and filling them and sealing over the box so the goats had to work their way in to them. The goats were really excited and came running towards the boxes. Unfortunately we were unable to go in to the goat enclosure due to one of the baby goats having a damaged horn. We then took the spare willow we had collected around to the wallaby enclosure. We were really lucky because the baby was out and took some willow from us. We used the last few minutes to go and see the racoon dogs and the Binturong who were out enjoying the sunshine. As we left it was lovely to see the peacock who walked along in front of us then put its train on display as we left!
