Oncology Teachers' Day

On Friday, some of the staff at the Great North Children's Hospital delivered a presentation on education sessions in the hospital at the annual Oncology Teachers' Training Day. The aim of the day is to help teachers of pupils who have a cancer diagnosis understand more about living with a cancer diagnosis, the treatments that the pupil may be undergoing and what the effects of these may be upon the pupil, their family and their education.

The day is organised and ran by Children's Cancer North and involves presentations from different professionals within the multi-disciplinary teams and the charitable organisations involved in the treatment and care of pupils with a cancer diagnosis.
