Read for Good Visit at the GNCH

On Thursday, the pupils at the Great North Children's Hospital enjoyed a visit from Gerry, their Read for Good storyteller. Everyone loved hearing Gerry tell some very funny stories and joining in with singing songs. The pupils also had the opportunity to choose books from the Read for Good book trolley, which they were able to keep to read in their own time.

Read for Good's hospital programme provides brand new books and storyteller visits to children's hospitals. The provision of a book trolley helps to encourage a love of reading by ensuring that children and young people in hospital have access to brand new books.

The storyteller visits also help to encourage this.
