The Neverland Thieves with Katie and Kevin Tsang

The young people at Ferndene thoroughly enjoyed joining the online event with Katie and Kevin Tsang, authors of 'The Neverland Thieves'. The session was packed with imagination, adventure and fascinating insights into how the authors brought a brand-new Neverland story to life. They kindly read a section of the book, which kept everyone wanting more.

A particular highlight was when their young people had previously logged to ask them: "Neverland is a place where children famously don't grow up. As adults writing for today's children, was there anything from your own childhood imagination that you had to steal back from adulthood to write The Neverland Thieves?"

Katie and Kevin praised the thoughtful question and shared their experiences of reconnecting with the sense of wonder, curiosity and creativity that inspired them as children. It was wonderful to see the young people engaging so confidently and asking such imaginative questions.

The event left everyone inspired to keep reading, dreaming and creating their own magical adventures, proving that there is still plenty of magic to be found in Neverland. This book is also an audiobook, giving them more opportunities to learn about the plot.
