The pupils at the Kenton site have been lucky enough to take part in two sustainable art workshops with local artist, Ruth Gowland. Ruth is a textile artist from Gosforth and in 2008 she had the idea of creating a Peace Labyrinth - a living labyrinth that was accessible to anyone, with walls made up of willow trees and a path wide enough for wheel chairs to navigate.

Ruth is now working with students at NBS Kenton every half term, showing them how to reimagine natural materials in an unbe-leaf-able way. The pupils have experimented with leaves, twigs and natural berry paint to create some impressive pieces.
