Celebrating Chinese New Year

The Year of the Dragon

Our Forest School students celebrated the Year of the Dragon by cooking a stir fry and tasting prawn crackers. We whittled chopsticks from the forest and used these to eat it with. Students collectively drew and decorated a dragon ensuring it was bright and colourful. They sprinkled glitter to add some sparkle and then displayed this in school. Some students made Chinese lantern sun catchers, sampled a fortune cookie and discussed what the messages received inside symbolised.
