Kirkley Hall Meerkats

At our weekly trip to Kirkley Hall students had the opportunity to go in to the meerkat enclosure. Students used equipment to clean and remove old food from the enclosure and raked over the ground to make the enclosure looked more attractive. Students then fed the meerkats remains of dead chicks that been used to feed the kookaburras. Students then fed live crickets to the meerkats as this is a good enrichment activity for them. They enjoyed catching the live feed.
