Children's Services Director Visits Newcastle Bridges School

On Monday 17^th October, Cath McEvoy-Carr, Director of Children, Education, and Skills at Newcastle City Council, visited Newcastle Bridges School’s Kenton site in light of their Outstanding Ofsted inspection result.  

The tour, led by Kevin Stafford, Head of School for Newcastle Bridges School, alongside Chris Richardson, CEO of Prosper Learning Trust, introduced Cath to the school and Prosper Learning Trust’s department based at the site. Cath has been recently appointed to her position and was interested to learn more about how the school and the Trust operate across Newcastle.

Kevin Stafford commented “It was fantastic to host Cath earlier this week to show her around the school and introduce our hard working staff and pupils. She was very impressed and was complimentary of the work Newcastle Bridges School and Prosper Learning Trust are doing to support vulnerable young people. Positive discussion also took place around place planning and the SEND Local Offer.”
